หลังจากปล่อยซิงเกิ้ล "When We Collide" ในฐานะผู้ชนะจากรายการ The X-Factor 2010 ออกมาเมื่อวันที่ 12 ธันวาคม 2010 และกลายเป็นซิงเกิ้ลอันดับหนึ่งของ UK Singles Chart เป็นเวลาถึง 3 สัปดาห์ ด้วยยอดขายสูงสุดอันดับที่ 2 แห่งปี 2010 ด้วยจำนวน 815,000 กอปปี้มาวันนี้ซิงเกิ้ลที่ 2 จากอัลบั้ม "Letters" เป็นเพลงเนื้อหาดีๆที่มีชื่อว่า "Run for Your Life" ได้ปล่อยมิวสิควิดีโอออกมาแล้ว
เพลงนี้ได้อดีตสมาชิกวง Take That อย่าง แกรี่ บาร์โลว์ มาแต่งเนื้อร้องให้ ซึ่งเป็นเพลงที่เพิ่งเอามาให้กับแมทท์เมื่อตอนอัลบั้มนี้ใกล้จะเสร็จแล้ว ด้วยว่าเพลงนี้เป็นเพียงเพลงเดียวที่แมทท์ไม่ได้มีส่วนร่วมในการเขียนเนื้อเพลง เขาถึงกับพูดออกมาว่า "น่าจะสัก 5-6 ปีมานี้ ผมพยายามมาโดยตลอดที่จะแต่งเพลงสักเพลงแบบนี้ แต่เมื่อผมได้ยินเพลงนี้ครั้งแรก ผมก็รู้สึกทันทีว่า นี่แหละเพลงสำหรับผม เนื้อเพลงมันจะประมาณว่าเราพูดถึง การที่เรายังไม่ดีพอ ต่อคนที่อยู่กับเรา [...] ผมรู้ดีเลยแหละว่าอารมณ์นั้นเป็นอย่างไร ผมเกือบจะร้องโหออกมาแล้วตอนที่เรากำลังอัดเพลงนี้กัน".
